Very high in protein River Shrimps are perfect live fish food suitable to feed all predatory freshwater and marine fish. River Shrimps are also good food for large pond fish, turtles, terrapins, amphibians, reptiles, and even birds.

The River Shrimp is a common name of feeding shrimp. They are found in estuaries and venture up rivers. They need brackish or saltwater to survive longer. These shrimps are offered as live food, not as shrimps to keep in your tank for a long period. If you have predatory fish like larger cichlids, channa, puffers, large wild betta, etc. then they are a nutritious food for them and a good bit of fun to chase about. Feeding live River Shrimp is a great way to get any of the larger freshwater or marine fish to feed. Some people say that this shrimp can be kept in full marine setup, where they reproducing, though we have never tried to breed them ourselves.
