Description

Offering Trigonopoma pauciperforatum (Red Stripe Rasbora).

Hailing from Malaysia and surrounding regions, the glowlight rasbora are found in blackwater streams, with plenty of overhanging foliage. Aim to provide a softwater set-up to mimic this natural habitat, utilising soft sand, leaves and natural driftwood with vegetation. This will encourage natural behaviours, with lower ph benefitting their health and well-being. These fish grow to approximately 2 inches, and socialise in large groups of their own, therefore it is highly recommend to house these fish in numbers of 10 or more. They will do well in temperature between 21 – 26 degrees Celsius, along with plentiful frequent water changes to avoid pollutants. Ravenous micropredators, they require live or frozen foods in their diet, easily introduced as foods such as bloodworm and brine shrimp. A good quality commercial food will also help to complete their diet and boost colouration
