Offering Red Ramshorn Snail (Planorbarius corneus).

The red ramshorn snail is an attractive, popular little dwarf snail known to aquarists for its beautiful colour (red blood instead of green like other snails), and its ability to breed like rabbits.

These snails do very well in aquaria as scavengers, mopping up dead plant, animal material with ease however it is worth noting that if left to their own devices, their increasing numbers can become a nuisance. To combat this, simply leave a piece of vegetable overnight, removing the majority of snails attached to it in the morning.

Entirely peaceful, these snails do well with most aquarium inhabitants indeed even with natural predators such as puffer fish, they are likely to maintain a breeding population. They prefer clean, fresh water but are able to withstand a wide variety of conditions.
