Offering Pethia padamya (Odessa Barb).

A well know cyprinid from Myanmar, Odessa Barbs are similar to tiger barbs in their personalities and behaviours displaying inquisitive, playful and energetic tendencies in community tanks. Growing to approximately 1.5 inches, they display a bright red colouration against their metallic body with patterned yellow fins. If keeping these as part of a community, aim to house in a group of 8 or more this will direct any fin nipping behaviours inwardly and distract attention from tank mates. They are unfussy eaters, accepting flake dried, pellets, live and or frozen foods, a balance of which will help to maintain their health and colouration.
