Description
Offering Moenkhausia pittieri (Diamond Tetra).
A small tetra from South America, the Diamond Tetra is so named for its dazzling colouration akin to a diamond, making it a popular addition to community aquaria. They are easily sexed, with males being brighter and having longer fins than females, as such this makes it easier to set up a breeding pair, conditioning with live food, soft water and a higher temperature of 28 degrees, whereupon pairs will spawn in the morning. These fish prefer heavily planted tanks if possible, and will accept a wide variety of foods such as commercial, live and frozen.
