Description

Offering Macropodus opercularis «Albino» (Paradise Fish).

Hailing from Central Vietnam, the Paradise fish inhabits slow moving water, and appreciates similar conditions in aquaria. Being a labyrinth fish, they possess a special organ that allows for taking air from the waters surface and survive in harsher water conditions than most other fish would tolerate. This however, does not suggest they be kept in poor conditions, rather, clean water will maintain their health and vibrancy. With good care they may live up to 5 years and slightly beyond, accepting a wide variety of foods including flake, tablet, frozen or live. The albino variation displays a beautiful white pigmentation, with all of the same behaviours and traits as their regular type.
