A small tetra species from Colombia, the red phantom tetra is an attractive fish displaying orange colouration with a black spot on its body. Growing to approximately 2 inches maximum, they can be kept in relatively small tanks however it’s highly recommended to give them extra room and keep in a group of 12+ to increase their security and stimulate shoaling behaviours. They will accept a variety of foods including flake, pellet, dried, live and/or frozen a balanced diet will maintain their overall health and colouration. Avoid housing with predatory or aggressive fish such as cichlids.
