Description
Offering Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis (Lemon Tetra).
The Lemon Tetra, is so named for its lemon coloured sheen against its transparent body. It does well in groups of 8 or more, where it is more likely to display natural behaviours. Entirely peaceful, they are good additions to a community aquarium it is best to avoid aggressive, boisterous fish such as cichlids that will stress them out. Planted aquariums also help these fish feel secure, their lemon colour making for a nice visual contrast against green foliage. To help bring out their lemon colour, give them a balanced diet from a selection of flake, pellet, dried, live and, or frozen foods, with regular water changes to prevent creeping nitrates. Growing to approximately 2 inches, lemon tetras can be kept in 24″ tanks of approximately 60 litres and upwards.
