An extremely beautiful nano fish, popular for its diminutive size and intense red colours, males are known to grow to a maximum of 0.8 inches, while females are likely to max out at 0.5 inches in length. A tiny predator, they appreciate small live foods such as microworms, crustaceans and micro larvae, which boosts their colours and maintains their health. Males are easily identified by their stronger finnage and colouration, as well as size. For best success aim to keep this fish in established, well-maintained aquaria with heavy plant biomass and carefully chosen tankmates. This pint sized fish can be quarrelsome with its own kind, therefore sight breaks can help greatly.
