Offering Cyrtocara moorii (Blue Dolphin Cichlid).
A large bodied cichlid from Malawi, growing to approximately 10 inches in length, it is so named for its blue colouration and dolphin like facial features. Both males and females develop a nuchal hump as they mature, and are known to be among the more peaceful African cichlids available, only defending a territory while breeding. Their stocky frame, size and nature means they can be kept with other mildly tempered cichlids of slightly smaller size. A large aquarium is recommended, with a mix of rocky and open areas to explore. Avoid overstocking with many fish, as sudden shocks can cause injury to the fish against ornaments and tank glass.
