Description

Offering Corydoras leucomelas (Blackfin Cory).

Corydoras Leucomelas, from the upper Amazon, are a corydoras catfish with a peaceful, playful temperament, growing to approximately 2 inches. They are extremely commonly caught, so much so that native collectors almost regard them as a nuisance. Preferring of a slightly lower temperature, aim to keep them in groups, they will actively sift the substrate together mature groups may also breed in aquariums with regular, small cold water changes. This mimics rainfall in their natural habitat. Omnivores, they will accept a wide variety of pellets, flakes and live food with a soft sandy substrate doing well to protect their sensitive barbels. For extra security, these fish appreciate plants and wood; where they can explore and express their natural behaviours.
