Description
Offering Cleithracara maronii (Keyhole Cichlid).
A beautiful cichlid from South America, the keyhole cichlid is a peaceful, reclusive fish that does well in community set-ups. Characterised by the keyhole like black shape on its white body, it also has a black eye stripe and flowing finnage. Keyhole’s do well with dither fish such as neon tetra, appreciating a gravel, sand substrate with plenty of rocks, wood and plants to feel secure mimicking its natural environment of coastal streams. Regular water changes and a balanced diet keep this fish healthy, its recommended to purchase a small group and allow them to pair up; whereupon eggs are laid on a selected spawning site. Upon hatching, the fry can be expected to be cared for both parents for up to six months.
