A popular freshwater aquarium fish, black ghost knife fish are suitable for only the largest of aquaria where they can reach up to 1.5 feet in length, with bulk to match. A predatory fish, they will actively hunt at night for any fish that will fit in their mouths, as such they prefer live food in aquaria, though they may be trained to accept commercial foods. Active jumpers, its recommended to maintain a tight fitting lid.
