Description

Offering Apistogramma agassizi (Agassizi’s Dwarf Cichlid).

A dwarf cichlid found in slow water systems throughout the Amazon basin, they grow to approximately 3 inches, displaying beautiful yellow and blue colouration set against flowing fins. In housing them, aim to provide a natural set-up composed of sand/gravel, wood, and plenty of vegetation. This provides security and areas of shelter, helping them to feel safe and therefore display their full range of colours. Primarily carnivorous, to condition these fish for breeding include plenty of live and frozen foods such as bloodworm. In housing these fish with other species, small dither fish work best otherwise aggression may become apparent.
