So named for their bright red colouration, chili rasbora are increasingly popular fish for nano and aquascaping set-ups due to their small size, colour and peaceful nature.
Surprisingly diminutive, these micro fish are so small and slender that they can often make their way through grills and dividers in fish tanks, so careful planning is needed.
They do well in shoals of 6+ along with carefully chosen tank mates that will neither eat them or out-compete them for food.
Aim to provide dense vegetation for them, and relatively dim lighting with regular fresh water changes.
These fish are small predators, so live/frozen foods are preferred, however they will happily accept commercial alternatives such as flake.
